  10. Thank you for participating in the McAfee VirusScan 2.0 Public
  11. Beta Program.  These guidelines are provided to give you an
  12. overview of the features of the product and a direction for
  13. testing, and include the following information

  23. This product is Beta software, and as such, is not at production
  24. quality levels.  It is not intended for daily use, and should not
  25. be used as the sole source of anti-virus protection for your
  26. system.  In no event shall McAfee Inc. be responsible for any
  27. damages whatsoever arising out of the use or inability to use
  28. this product.

  31. BETA RELEASE SCHEDULE

  33. Over the next few weeks, there will be several updates to the
  34. Beta release to fix known problems.  Each new release will be
  35. placed on the McAfee BBS with a change in the release letter,
  36. starting with release A, continuing on to release B, C, and so
  37. forth.  A new virus data file will also be included with each
  38. release.  Please log on every few days to update your copy of
  39. the Beta release to the latest version.

  60. Version 2.00 of VirusScan has changed significantly in order to
  61. meet customer needs and provide faster and more accurate
  62. scanning capabilities.

  64. NOTE:   Though we cannot respond to all suggestions
  65.         individually, we will read and review each one, and
  66.         eager to hear what you have to say.

  115. An Email account has been set up on the McAfee Homebase BBS to receive
  116. comments and problem reports about the Beta.  The user name is
  117.

  120. If you have any comments or questions about the Beta release,
  121. please send mail to this account.  If you have a problem report, feel
  122. free to send mail to this account, but please either include a filled
  123. out copy of the bug report form in your message or send one by one of
  124. the other methods shown above as well, so that we have all the
  125. information we need to properly investigate the problem.
